Description
Ishmael (Ethan Hawke) and Hatsue (Youki Kudoh) knew each other as kids, and years later Ishmael, now a news reporter, covers the murder trial of a man who happens to be Hatsue's husband. The complex, multi-layered drama is set against the backdrops of WWII and post-war era.
