Thomas Howell ), raised in a wealthy family, is a student who has nothing to lose. He is accepted to the prestigious Harvard University and seems to have a bright future ahead of him, until his father announces that he will no longer be able to support him financially. Mark is in trouble and turns to a scholarship program that is only available to black students. A friend invents a tanning potion that transforms him into a black man, and he wins the scholarship. The rest of his campus life is supposed to be fun and exciting, but he is confronted with unfair discrimination.
