Description
To commemorate the 120th anniversary of Yasujiro Ozu's birth, remakes of six of Ozu's early silent films become available as TV series. Kei Tanaka, Tasuku Emoto, Atsuko Maeda, Ryo Narita, Shizuka Ishibashi, and Taishi Nakagawa star in this omnibus drama. The first episode features "Dekagokoro" released in 1933, which depicts the human feelings of a downtown area. Kei Tanaka plays the lead role. The second episode will be a remake of the 1932 masterpiece "Otona no Miru Ehon: Umarete wa Mitakeredo," starring Tasuku Emoto, and the third episode will be a remake of the gangster movie "Hijosen no Onna", starring Atsuko Maeda. The fourth comedy "Shukujo to Hige" stars Narita Ryo, the fifth serious film "Tokyo no Onna" stars Ishibashi Shizuka, and the final coming-of-age film "Seishun no Yume Ima Izuko" stars Nakagawa Taishi, bringing a total of six episodes into the diverse world of OZU.
