Description
DVD release from the TV series "Rakujitsu" based on the novel of the same name written by Kanae Minato. Starring Keiko Kitagawa. Plot: Up-and-coming director Kaori Hasebe (Keiko Kitagawa), who has gained international acclaim for her first film as a director, asks new screenwriter Mahiro Kai (Riho Yoshioka) for advice on a script for a movie. The script is based on the "Sasazuka-City Family Murder Case" in which a reclusive man, Rikito Tateishi (Ryoma Takeuchi) stabbed his high school sister to death in their home 15 years ago, and then set their parents on fire, leading to their death. The small town of Sasazuka where the murders took place is also Mahiro's birthplace. Mahiro's teacher, Rinko Ohata, a popular screenwriter, shows interest in the case and pushes Mahiro to pursue it... Furthermore, pursuing this case also means facing up to "a certain past" that both Kaori and Mahiro have. Why does Kaori want to film this case, which has already been sentenced? How will Mahiro face it? As they investigate the case, they arrive at the shocking truth...
