Description
The legendary Jidaigeki (period drama) series was originally aired in 1972. Based on the book by Saho Sasazawa, the show was directed by none other than Kon Ichikawa, one of Japan's most acclaimed film directors. It follows the adventures of Monjiro, a traveling samurai with a trademark long toothpick who stumbles upon all sorts of troubles. Contains episode 29 "Kakegomidera ni Michi wa Hateta" directed by Issei Mori, and episode 30 "Kuzuryu ni Orizuru wa Chitta" directed by Kougi Yasuda.
