Description
DVD release of the film "Hana no Ato" based on Shuhei Fujiwara's novel of the same name, starring Keiko Kitagawa and Shuntaro Miyano. Set in the Edo period, the story revolves around a daughter of a clan official (samurai), Ito who has learned a fencing skills from her father. She meets a low-ranking samurai but also known as a highly-skilled swordsman Magoshiro beneath a full bloomed cherry tree. She challenges him to a match and he agrees. After she crosses swords with him, she impressed by his sincere and do-it-all-the-way attitude and falls in love with him, although they both have fiancee. . . One day, she hears the news that Magoshiro killed himself and gets to the bottom of the matter. Includes liner notes and a bonus disc with making-of and more bonus video footage.
