Description
Though the film shows a change of pace for Takeshi Kitano, it also bears a whole bunch of his trademarks particularly in its surreal photography and irreverent humor. This 'unexpected' film from the acclaimed director of Hana-bi and Sonatine is in essence a road movie about a boy in search of his mother, who's accompanied by Kikujiro (played by 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano), but if you're a Kitano fan, you know better than to expect an ordinary road movie from him.
