¡Bach: Kantata TEN No.19
¡Classical V.A.
Description
[Machine Translation] The Bach Foundation Orchestra and Choir of St. Gallen present the 19th Cantata. Cantata BWV 48 for the 19th Sunday after the Trinity is about the forgiveness of sins by Jesus. Alto and tenor solos and chorus depict the process of redemption and the trust in Jesus. The 25th Sunday after Trinity, BWV 90, is a dramatic work that depicts the "end of the world" and salvation, reminiscent of the Book of Revelation. BWV 131, with Luther's chorale "From the Deep End," is a cantata commissioned by Aylmer, pastor of St. Mary's Church in Muhlhausen, and is said to have been written for the repose of a great fire that ravaged the area in 1707. Recorded in 2008/2010/2013.
