Description
DVD release of the theatrical anime "Mai Mai Miracle (Mai Mai Shinko to Sennen no Maho" created by staffs of Studio Ghibli work "Kiki's Delivery Service" and the animation studio madhouse of "Summer Wars." This film presented at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2009. Set in a small town Bofu in Yamaguchi Prefecture where lies to the south of Japan, a girl named Shinko loves to fantasize about the world millennia ago and a girl had lived there at the barley field. She takes new classmate Kiiko who does not fit in the class yet to the barley field and gradually gets along with her. One day, their goldfish Hizuru dies, and they bury it near a historic place. But things begin to change with this event as a start. . . Bonus disc features creditless ending, event footage, making-of, original drawing footage, unreleased scene, and more. Also includes a 16-page booklet.
