Description
Classic anime "Galaxy Express 999" is brought back in its newly incarnated form after 25 years. The new show premiered on the internet in 2002. This DVD edition Vol. 1 contains episode 1 "Tabidachi no Ballad," episode 2 "Titan no Nemureru Senshi," and episode 3 "Hotaru no Machi." They're not merely updated versions of the original episodes, but are wholly remade shows with newly produced image and newly recorded soundtrack which features the voice of the show's legendary creator, Leiji Matsumoto in its vocal cast (episode 1). The DVD uses its interactive multi-angle function to choose the story branches. Directed by the show's original director, Nobutaka Nishizawa
