This special boxed DVD set compiles three Galaxy Express 999 TV specials (TV movies), digitally remastered from a new telecine print. The 3 movies contained are "Kimi wa Senshi no you ni Ikirareru ka? (Can you live like a warrior?)" which is a special edition of "Kaseki no Senshi (The Ossified Warrior)," "Eien no Tabibito Emeraldas (Eternal Traveler Emeraldas)" which is a special edition of "Kaizokusen Queen Emeraldas (Pirate Ship Queen Emeraldas)," and "Kimi wa Haha no youni Aiseru ka? (Can you love like a mother?)" which is a special ediiton of "Toumeikai no Artemis." These movies are not just re-edited versions of the episodes mentioned, but include newly written and produced cuts that enrich and intensify the dramatic themes of justice, love and friendship.
