Description
Macaroni western film from brilliant director Alex de la Iglecia. Set in southern Spain, "800 Bullets" tells a story of humor, love, and friendship, and familial ties. Iglecia also gets to the heart of the social problems plaguing Spain, while at the same time creating a true homage to the original western films. In an old town that used to be the epicenter of Spanish western films--that is now a festering ghost town with few tourists, they begin a revival of the standard western stage show. One day a young boy shows up at the feet of the town chairman (and former stuntman) claiming to be his grandchild. In order to find out the truth behind the accidental death of his father, he has come to this town to speak to his grandfather. At first confused, the two find love in each other . . . until a dreaded group of outsiders set their sites on the town itself!
