[Machine Translation] This is the first album by the Otomo Yoshihide Special Big Band, formed by Tatsuro Kondo as a small side project of the three members of the Big Band on the occasion of the band's 2024 European tour. The album includes five compositions by Kondo, improvisations by the three members, and Charlie Haden's "Silence," the title of which is also quoted in the album title. The album, including the original songs, is a mixture of tranquility and bustle, introspection and passion. The album jacket photo was taken in 2013, two years after the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear power plant accident, on the beach in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture.
