Description

This album was released in 1974 and contains the band's signature two-part suite ("Hymn to the Sun"). The original two-disc set retains some of the darkness of the previous album, but the ensemble arrangements are solid and refined, and the music and sound are full of variety. It is a work that established a sound world with its own unique humor and theatricality, which is connected to many of his later masterpieces. A bonus track, "Sahara," is also included. The world's first paper-jacketed CD, digitally remastered in 2022, reproducing the original recordings as much as possible.
