Description

In the distant future, a group of humans has a dug a hole in the earth and set up camp, living hidden from the rest of the world. One day a young man named Simon discovers a mysterious, shining drill while helping to extend the crevice for his town. When he shows this to the leader of the village gang, the entire gang becomes smitten with finding the world above the surface, imagining life in the outside world. When, an earthquake destroys the ceiling of the town, a gigantic robot falls down from above them, causing panic in the town but confirming their belief in the outside world . . .
