¡Gypsy Baroque
¡Classical V.A.

 Description
[Machine Translation] ALPHA label has been pursuing the possibilities of pre-Baroque music since its inception. This album titled "Gypsy Baroque" features Telemann, who learned about the folk music of Poland and Slovakia from working at a nobleman's house between Poland and Slovakia when he was young, and other composers who were active across the border, such as Vivaldi and Tartini, while exploring the relationship between their influences and "folk music". This is a project disc that explores the relationship between the works of transnational composers such as Vivaldi and Tartini and the "ethnic music" that may have influenced them. The entire program, including some 18th century gypsy music, is performed by a mixed ensemble of baroque and ethnic instruments, giving Telemann's usually elegant sounding compositions a new charm as works with a wild atmosphere. The ensemble is led by Vittorio Ghielmi, founder of Il Giardino, and Il Suonar Parlante, an ensemble that explores jazz and traditional music. Known for its innovative projects.
