Two years after the final battle against Sephiroth, the survivors of the city, Midgar have begun to build a new city. However, people begin to die of a strange new disease they call "Geostigma" that is suddenly proliferating. Amidst this confusion, Cloud is attacked by three men who believe that he has taken away from them something of grave importance.
