¡Gulda plays Mozart & Gulda
¡Classical V.A.
Description
[Machine Translation] Friedrich Goulda ( 1930-2000 ) was a music prodigy who had many faces as a classical pianist, jazz player, and composer. This album contains Goulda's performances from two different eras. The program begins and ends with Mozart's two rondos from 1969, when Goulda began his jazz career, and is interspersed with a performance from 1982, when Goulda developed his own style. The 1982 Goulda improvisation, the Mozart sonata, and the "Aria," a favorite of both he and the audience, blend into a flow so natural that one does not notice the age difference at all, and here classical and jazz are truly fused.
