¡SAINT-SAENS: Concertos for Piano No.3 & 5
¡Romain Descharmes, etc.

 Description
[Machine Translation] Saint-Saens' five piano concertos are brilliant works, all of which are highly technical and experimental, as Saint-Saens himself was an excellent pianist. The opening part of No. 3 was written in 1869, when Saint-Saens was 34 years old, and it is a masterpiece of the middle period with many highlights: a horn playing an extended melody over beautiful piano chords, the second movement characterized by fluid harmony, and the humorous third movement (later arranged into a solo version for the examination at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris). The Naoki Prize-winning composer Onda's masterpiece. Also included is the "African Fantasy" from the popular novel "Honeybee and Thunder" by Riku Onda, winner of the Naoki Prize. Recorded in 2015 by Roman Descharmes (piano) / Malmo Symphony Orchestra / Marc Sustro (conductor).
