¡Mendelssohn: Concerto for Violin, Piano & String Orchestra
¡Classical V.A.

 Description
[Machine Translation] The Concerto for Violin, Piano, and String Orchestra, written by Mendelssohn as a boy, was completed in 1823 for a concert regularly held at his home. It seems to have been composed with his sister Fanny playing the piano and his friend Eduard Rietz playing the violin, and is a beautiful work in which the two instruments play an intimate tune. The Violin Concerto in D minor, completed the year before, was also written for Rietz, and its existence had long been forgotten, but since its discovery by Menuhin in 1951, it has been increasingly performed. Violinist Neudauer won the first prize at the Leopold Mozart Competition in Augsburg at the age of 15, and his talent is attracting attention. He plays in a superb ensemble with the veteran pianist Kirschnerite.
