¡Henri Marteau: Complete Works for String Quartet I
¡Classical V.A.

 Description
[Machine Translation] The French-born, naturalized Swedish violinist Henri Marteau begins his complete string quartet cycle. The first collection includes String Quartet No. 2 and his masterpiece "Eight Romances," Op. 19, composed between 1915 and 1917, when he was living in Sweden under the patronage of the King of Sweden after his expulsion from Germany. The original is accompanied by a string ensemble. A piano version by Vladiguerov also exists, but this version is accompanied by a string quartet, and the full sound of the strings and the beautiful voice of Karine Dehe are in perfect harmony. The Isasi String Quartet, named after the composer Andres Isasi, was founded in 2009 and focuses its repertoire on Romantic and contemporary music, with an emphasis on 19th century French works.
