¡Nono: Como una ola de fuerza y luz etc
¡Peter Rundel, Leo Warinsky (conductor), WDR Radio Symphony Orchestra Cologne

 Description
[Machine Translation] This is a new recording of "Like a Wave of Power and Light," which became one of NONO's best-known works when it was premiered and recorded by Pollini and Abbado, and exploded in popularity. Written in memory of Luciano Cruz, a young poet who wrote sharp poems critical of the regime during the Chilean Revolution, this piece is a chaotic and turbulent music that mixes pre-recorded tape sounds with the sounds of a soprano soloist, piano, and full orchestra. The "Anguished but Clear Waves" is a dialogue between the piano and the tape. In this recording, the original tapes, which had been unavailable since Pollini's first recording, are reproduced and used. Paulo de Assis, the sound projectionist for "Anguished but Clear Waves," pays homage to NONO in the margins of the recording. The sound space is unique to Paulo de Assis, who says he studied NONO's compositional techniques in depth.
